Cave Raid ^.^

Xylia was walking along a tree in the wilderness high above her long time friend Reiman, she never did like walking along the ground when she could easily just hop from tree to tree like a leopard thanks to the elven blood coursing through her veins. She noticed however that she had strayed far ahead of him and imitated a robins call which wasn't native to this area so that he'd be able to find her again. She was quite grateful to him actually as when she was banished from her tribe for not practicing the Green Pact they met by mere chance and became fast friends albeit them being almost polar opposites, his clam cool demeanor complemented by her fiery temper and wild like antics. So Rei. What are we going to do today? she said calling him by his nickname while hanging upside down from a tree branch.

Well Lia! Reiman said finally catching up to his crazy elf friend. He pulled a map from a sack he always carried on his back. I heard of this cave nearby here that is loaded with treasures! It was abandoned and left to rot for reasons unknown... Sounds perfect to make some well needed cash don't you think Lia? He asked as he pointed to where they were on the map and to where the cave was. Reiman thanked the nine that Xylia had came around and helped him come out of his shell, exploring is rather fun!

Treasure? Marvelous. Xylia said while she rocked back and forth at an increasing pace until she was back right side up and then stared into the distance trying to locate the cave. She quickly started to climb higher up the tree when she couldn't see anything and then upon reaching the top spotted the cave in the distance. I see it. she said with a happy voice before leaping to another tree it would look as if she almost missed the branch but she didn't having chosen the ends of the branch as sort of cushion and quickly moved downward without firmly placing her weight oh the branches until they were sturdy enough. She realized she should slow down for him and then waited a bit for him before continuing on as she was eager to explore the cave.

So the pair got to the entrance of the cave which had a makeshift door on it. Their was a makeshift torch on it as well, several bone charms laid in the front of the entrance as well. Reiman had read about this, Lia? They're Goblins in that cave... I can tell by those bones... Maybe that's why this place was cleared, goblin infestation... So ready to go in and kill us some Goblins!? He laughed as he prepared Gus arsenal of spells for anything that was beyond that door.

Heh. Xylia said hopping down and landing silently on the balls of her feet and slowly got up and cracked her knuckles by interlocking both hands and stretching outward. Ready when you are Rei. But I'm not holding the torch it'll restrict my flow. she said with a smile before pushing the door which opened inward and she stood still waiting for him to grab the torch..you could say she was...a bit afraid of the dark...and by a bit it was more like pretty afraid of it especially after a run in with a not so friendly creature when she was younger and playing in the forest at night.

Reiman grabbed the torch and the two went inside. The insides looked like a generic cave, no bloodshed no nothing. Though it did smell like goblin, which wasn't pretty but bearable. Hm... Odd this cave is pretty straightforward... Whatever! From what torchlight could reveal everything in the cave seemed to have been old and u roched for quite some time. Weird goblins were supposed to be here... Maybe something happened? Either way the two went further and after some walking in Reiman had heard some squeaks, and with that three giant rats popped out from their dark little corners to get the invaders out. Reiman stepped aside and smiled, Go get em tiger! But becareful we don't want you to catch a disease through one of their bites, the nine know we should visit the chapel more!

You could say that again Xylia said as she noticed the rats and jumped back a bit before attempting to kick one in the side as if she was trying to punt it and would quickly follow up by smashing down at it with her fist. She was extremely wary of the other two however and made sure not to let them surround her and quickly withdrew from the rat that she had attacked in order to minimize the risk of a counter attack. She then moved forward again and would attempt to leg sweep another rat quickly backing away from it and would attempt to stomp it to death if it had fallen due to her previous attack. It was such a pain not having weapons but she could handle herself pretty well with just her fists and feet after all that was how she had survived up till now of course with help from Rei..

All the attacks connected and with one stun and another dead the third one tried to pounce onto Xylia from her blind spot but Reiman quickly came and punched it with deadly force as it hit the wal mainly breaking it's back. Haha nice job but seems you accidentally left one! He said as he pointed at the stun one and walked over it touching it's body and electrifying the thing to death. Is this the best time to say I learned a new spell recently? He said as he concentrated and pulled a dagger from thin air. He than got up and passed the dagger to Lia. Maybe I should've given this to you sooner~ Reiman said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice and the two would now go deeper into the cave.

ooc: the bodies of the rat each held 1 lock pick and one gold each take what you want.

You know sometimes you are quite the- Oooh Shiny. Xylia said getting distracted and looted two of the rats before standing back upright and sticking her tongue at Rei and then taking off deeper into the cave happily as she got a weapon and knew she would do a bit better in combat now that she didn't just have to use her fists. She quickly separated from him and turned back and only saw blackness and actually grew slightly afraid that is until she saw a small light in the distance and began to run towards it as she knew he had a torch.

Ooh poor little Xylia shouldve stayed closer to Reiman as she ran down into a random tunnel. As she got closer to the light it turned out to be the room of a sleeping Goblin. Thankfully her running didn't wake it up as it was deep in sleep. There was two locked chests inside the room and of course the sleeping goblin who slept on some simple rags.

"Lia! Don't run off!" Reiman yelled as the two got separated. Reiman looted the lone rat and slowly followed the path Xylia took. He to saw the light at the end of a tunnel and followed it and slowly getting closer to Xylia.

Xylia muffled a gasp and slowly crept up to the goblin with the bound dagger in hand syncing her steps with its breathing and attempting to creep as quietly as a mouse. She then pulled the dagger high into the air once she was very close to him and would stab downwards attempting to pierce the creatures voice box in addition to its throat so that it would be a silent kill and hopefully not alert anything else that might be lingering around...that is if the assassination was successful

Reiman finally got around to her and looked at the dead Goblin. Whoa... Kind of cold hearted but eh whatever gets our food on the table... I think it has a key on it's corpse! I'm going to try and lock pick the chest on the left, you can handle the right one! He hurried to the chest at the foot of the goblin and attempted to pick it's lock.

I've been practicing my assassination skills Xylia said with a smile as she wiped off the dagger with the Goblins own rags. I guess its time to work on my lock picking she said looking at the treasure chest and trying to see if she felt any bad feeling but she didn't so she quickly went to business and attempted to pick the lock of the second chest. Worst come to worse one of them would get the wrong chest and end up hurt, although she would prefer if it was her after all he was the one who could heal. Then again..she was the better lock pick.."I guess it was all up to fate now" She thought to herself while she tried to open the lock with her ears listening for the signature click of one of the hammers..

Hm... A Short Sword... Lia! Here! I can hear it, we're in for a fight! He said as he desummoned his dagger and summoned it back into his hand. He also threw the short sword at her. He could hear the nasty beast squeal and yell out battle cries, sounded like several were coming. Oh god someone will be needing a drink after this.
